UB is located 55 miles from New York City in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Bridgeport is Connecticut’s largest city and borders the 50-acre campus to the north; Seaside Park and Long Island Sound, with some of the finest sandy beaches between New York and Cape Cod run along the southern boundary. The sound and the park are settings for studies in marine biology and for the enjoyment of sun and recreation. The city and county provide opportunities for work-study programs with schools, government and some of the country's largest corporations. The campus houses 75 buildings including the Arnold Bernhard Arts and Humanities Center; the John J. Cox Student Center; the Charles A. Dana Hall of Science; Eleanor Naylor Dana Hall; the Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium; Mandeville Hall; the College of Chiropractic Building; the Technology Building; Breul Hall; the Magnus Wahlstrom Library; and the Wheeler Recreation Center.
